## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL04LA039](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL04LA039), Nov 22, 2003: Piper PA-28R (N5041T), Columbia, SC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's mismanagement of the fuel supply, and his inadequate preflight planning which resulted in fuel exhaustion.

## Other reports on N5041T (1)

- [Incident 19850413017239I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19850413017239I), Apr 13, 1985: Piper PA28R200 (N5041T), Bedford, MA, Minor damage. While exiting runway aircraft struck runway light with nose wheel. Pilot had failed to see and avoid light.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
