## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS CONDUCTING PROFICIENCY INSTRUCTION WITH A RATED PILOT IN THE LEFT SEAT. AIRCRAFT WAS EQUIPPED WITH BRAKES FOR THE LEFT SEAT ONLY. A TOUCH AND GO LANDING WAS PLANNED FOR MPO. TOUCHDOWN WAS NORMAL AND COMPLETED IN APPROXIMATELY THE FIRST THIRD OF USABLE RUNWAY. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT WAS RECONFIGURED FOR TAKEOFF, BUT THE POWER ON THE ENGINE COULD NOT BE INCREASED DUE TO MALFUNCTION OF THROTTLE. THE PILOTS WENT OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT THEN CAME TO A STOP. A MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT (FAA FORM 8010-4) WILL BE FILED ON THE FAULTY THROTTLE CABLE. THE FLIGHT WAS BEING CONDUCTED UNDER 14 CFR PART 91 REGULATIONS. WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR AND NO INJURIES OCCURRED. THE AIRCRAFT DID SUSTAIN MINIMAL DAMAGE. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
