## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON NOVEMBER 28, 2003, AT APPROXIMATELY 1625 EST, AIRCRAFT N803HK, AN EMB-145, TRANS STATES AIRLINES (RAIA) FLIGHT #5291, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE NUMBER ONE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 28R AT THE PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND THE AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND FIRE FIGHTING UNIT RESPONDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO THE RAMP WHERE MAINTENANCE DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER ONE BRAKE PRESSURE SWITCH HAD CAUSED THE FAILURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
