## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) INCIDENT WAS MISTAKENLY REPORTED TO THE SOUTHERN REGION OPS CENTER AS A GEAR COLLAPSE. HOWEVER INVESTIGATION FOUND THE FOLLOWING: ON 02 DEC 2003 AT APPROX 1500 HRS LOCAL TIME AIRCRAFT N1009M LANDED AT PDK AIRPORT ON RUNWAY 2. THE PILOT AND CO-PILOT REPORTED THEY FELT THE PLANE PULLING TO THE LEFT. IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT STRAIGHT THE PILOT APPLIED THE RT RUDDER AND BRAKE THEN APPLIED MAXIMUM BRAKING IN AN EFFORT TO STOP. THE BRAKES LOCKED UP AND BOTH MAIN TIRES WERE BLOWN. THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS TO THE TWO MLG TIRES. NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
