## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AS DESCRIBED BY THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT: A WHOOSHING SOUND WAS HEARD IN THE AFT CABIN AREA. THE CABIN FILLED WITH SMOKE AND HEAT. A PASSENGER TRIED TO OPEN R2 DOOR BUT WAS STOPPED BY THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT. OTHER PASSENGERS OPENED THE LEFT AND RIGHT OVER WING EMERGENCY EXIT DOORS AND PROCEEDED TO EXIT ONTO THE WINGS. WITH THE OVER WING EXIT DOORS OPENED, SMOKE AND HEAT SUBSIDED ENOUGH FOR THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO BETTER EVALUATE THE SITUATION. THEY STOPPED THE EVACUATION FROM THE WING AREAS AND USED R2 DOOR SLIDE AS THE EVACUATION ROUTE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
