## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENT WERE DOING AN AUTOROTATION STARTING AT 700FT AGL @70KNTS. AT 200FT @60KNTS THE INSTRUCTOR ROLLED ON POWER AND THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO DESCEND TO THE GROUND STRIKING THE GROUND IN A LEVEL ATTITUDE WITH 30KNTS FORWARD AIRSPEED. THE AIRCRAFT THEN ROLLED TO THE RIGHT. THERE WAS NO POST CRASH FIRE OR INJURIES TO THE PILOTS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW04CA039](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW04CA039), Dec 8, 2003: Robinson R22 (N747LF), Spring, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The CFI's delay in taking remedial action which resulted in a hard landing. An excessive descent rate was a contributing factor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
