## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THIS WAS AN ON THE SCENE INVESTIGATION. EYEWITNESSES TO THE ACCIDENT STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS AT AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 300-500 FEET IN LEVEL FLIGHT WHEN THE NOSE LIFTED UP AND THEN DROPPED, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO SPIN TO THE RIGHT, A FOUR TO SIX TURN ROTATION WAS NOTED BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED NOSE DOWN INTO A MUDDY FIELD. ACCORDING TO WITNESSES ON THE SCENE THE PILOT DIED ON IMPACT, THE PASSENGER A SIX YEAR OLD BOY WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED. FROM WHAT THE EYEWITNESSES STATED IT APPEARS THAT THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND THEN ENTERED INTO A SPIN TO THE RIGHT, THE PILOT EVIDENTLY DID NOT RECOVER FROM THE SPIN IN TIME BEFORE STRIKING THE GROUND.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
