## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 12/21/2003, AT APPROXIMATELY 1523 HOURS, THE PILOT OF N93PC WITH ONE PASSENGER ABOARD, ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT ST. MARY'S AIRPORT (4J6), ST. MARYS, GEORGIA. DURING THE LANDING SEQUENCE, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED SEVERAL TIMES UPON CONTACTING THE RUNWAY. IN AN ATTEMPT TO GO AROUND, DURING PULL UP, THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH A TREE TOP APPROXIMATELY 150 YARDS AFT OF RUNWAY 31. AFTER CONTACTING THE TREE TOP, THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND CAME TO REST INVERTED IN A WOODED AREA. BOTH PILOT AND PASSENGER DEPARTED THE WRECKAGE PRIOR TO FIRE CONSUMING THE AIRCRAFT. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL04LA050](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL04LA050), Dec 21, 2003: Baker KR-2 (N93PC), St. Marys, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain airspeed during climb out which resulted in a stall and inflight collision with trees.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
