## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 12/22/2003 AT 0618C, A CL-600 AIRCRAFT DEPARTED INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CHICAGO-O'HARE, IL. THE AIRCRAFT REPORTED THAT THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT RETRACT AFTER TAKE-OFF. THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO INDIANAPOLIS AT 0635C ON RUNWAY 23R. RESCUE EQUIPMENT WAS DISPATCHED. THE RUNWAY WAS CLOSED AND GROUND CREW MANUALLY PINNED THE GEARS. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED BACK TO THE TERMINAL UNAIDED AND THE RUNWAY WAS OPENED. AIRCRAFT COULD NOT BE FERRIED FOR MAINTENANCE DUE TO WEATHER. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FROM CHICAGO-O'HARE PERFORMED MAINTENANCE AT INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. MAINTENANCE CREW INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND PERFORMED SEVERAL GEAR SWINGS TEST. NO DISCREPANCY WAS NOTED AT THE TIME AND AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
