## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT LANDED ON RUNWAY 3 AT SPOKANE INT'L AIRPORT UNDER SPECIAL VFR AT NIGHT ON A SNOW-COVERED RUNWAY WITH VISIBILITY OBSCURED BY MIST. AFTER LANDING HE MISJUDGED THE TURN-OFF POINT AND TURNED OFF JUST BEFORE THE ACTUAL EDGE OF TAXIWAY FOXTROT. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED ON THE PAVEMENT BUT GOT STUCK IN A SHALLOW SNOW BERM ALONG THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT INITIATED A TURN BACK TO THE RUNWAY BUT DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPEED TO PLOW THROUGH THE SNOW. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT BECAME STUCK THE PILOT NOTIFIED THE TOWER AND SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS PUSHED BACK AND RETURNED TO THE RAMP WITH NO DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
