## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) "INDUSTRIAL INCIDENT-NO INTENT TO FLY" C2XA MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE WAS TAXIING AIRCRAFT FROM THE GATE FOR AN OPERATION CHECK ON THE BRAKES. UPON COMPLETION OF BRAKE CHECK THE MECHANICS CONTACTED C2XA TOWER FOR A 180 DEGREE TURN BACK TO THE GATE. THE TOWER MISJUDGE THE POSITION OF THE AIRCRAFT, AND CLEARED THE AIRCRAFT FOR THIS MANEUVER. THE C2XA MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES ALSO MISJUDGED THE RAMP AREA FOR ADEQUATE SPACE FOR THIS MANEUVER. THE AIRCRAFT DROPPED INTO A CLEARLY MARKED CONSTRUCTION HOLE IN THE RAMP. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS RIGHT LOWER LANDING GEAR FAIRING CRACKED, AND MINOR SCRAPS ON THE LANDING GEAR LOWER DRAG LINK. AIRCRAFT WAS REPAIRED AND RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
