## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT DEPARTED INDPLS METROPOLITAN AIRPORT (UMP), WITH ENROUTE STOP TO INDPLS EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (TYQ), THEN FILED AN IFR FLIGHT TO KMDW FOR ANGEL FLIGHT PICKUP OF PATIENT. PILOT WAS NOTIFIED BY MDW TOWER THAT GEAR DOORS WERE OPEN, BUT THAT LANDING GEAR APPEARED NOT TO BE DOWN. PILOT ELECTED TO ABANDON STOP AT KMDW AND RETURN TO INDIANAPOLIS AREA AND SO ADVISED MDW APPROACH OF INTENTIONS. SHORTLY AFTER DEPARTING MDW AREA PILOT EXPERIENCED LOSS OF ALL ELECTRICAL POWER AND INFORMED MDW APPROACH OF ELECTRICAL POWER FAILURE VIA CELL PHONE. ARRIVED AT TYQ AT APPROXIMATELY 1120L, HELD AT ALTITUDE TO BURN OFF CELL. LANDED GEAR UP AT TYQ WITH MINOR AIRCRAFT DAMAGE AND NO INJURY. REASON FOR FAILURE OF LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND, AND LOSS OF ALL ELECTRICAL POWER IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
