## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JANUARY 10, 2004 AT 1155 PST A FLEET MODEL II (N606M) WAS LANDING AT THE FRESNO CHANDLER AIRPORT, FRESNO, CA, AND THE LEFT LOWER WING CONTACTED THE PAVEMENT CAUSING THE AIRPLANE TO TURN LEFT AND LEAVE THE RUNWAY TO A SOFT DIRT AREA AND NOSE OVER TO THE INVERTED POSITION. THE WIND WAS CALM AND THE PILOT STATED THAT HIS LEFT SLEEVE CAUGHT ON THE THROTTLE CAUSING A RAPID INCREASE IN POWER WHICH DISTRACTED HIM AND HE DROPPED THE LEFT WING HITTING THE GROUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX04CA091](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX04CA091), Jan 10, 2004: Fleet 2 (N606M), Fresno, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's failure to set the throttle friction lock, which resulted in the inadvertent application of the throttle, followed by a loss of directional control.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
