## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. DWIRE WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND AIRCRAFT (A POWERED GLIDER) REALIZED THAT HE WOULD OVERSHOOT RUNWAY AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART ENGINE WHICH WOULD NOT RESTART. AIRCRAFT WENT OFF OF RUNWAY KNOCKING OVER TWO RUNWAY LIGHTS AND CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT. I ASKED MR. DWIRE IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE AND HE STATED THAT IT WAS NOT UNCOMMON FOR THIS ENGINE TO NOT START AFTER IT WAS SHUTDOWN AND AIRCRAFT WAS IN GLIDE MODE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
