## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. FREDERICK TOOK OFF FROM 5M3 ON 1/24/04 AT ABOUT 1400 HOURS LOCAL FOR THE FIRST FLIGHT OF THE DAY. HE PUT THE FLAPS UP AND THEN PUT THE GEAR HANDLE UP, THERE WAS NO RESPONSE FROM THE GEAR MOTOR. THE GREEN LIGHT STAYED ON AND THE TRANSITION LIGHT CAME ON AND THE MECHANICAL INDICATOR ON THE FLOOR DIDN'T MOVE. HE CYCLED THE GEAR SWITCH A FEW TIMES THEN CALLED THE UNICOM FOR SOMEONE TO OBSERVE A FEW LOW PASSES. EVERYTHING LOOKED OK SO HE LANDED. UPON TOUCHDOWN OF THE MAINS THINGS SEEMED OK THEN SHORTLY AFTER THAT, MAYBE WHEN THE NOSE TOUCHED DOWN, ALL THE GEARS COLLAPSED, NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
