## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JANUARY 26 A CESSNA 414 WITH ONE PILOT AND 3 PASSENGERS WERE ON FINAL APPROACH TO THE GREAT BEND AIRPORT WHEN THE NOSE GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND. THE PILOT WENT THROUGH THE CHECKLIST SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL FINALLY ACTIVATING THE EMERGENCY LANDING GEAR BLOW DOWN BOTTLE, WHICH ALSO FAILED TO EXTEND THE NOSE GEAR. THE PILOT ELECTED TO DIVERT TO THE WICHITA MID-CONTINENT (ICT) AIRPORT AND AT APPROXIMATELY 1106 LOCAL THE PILOT EXECUTED AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON RUNWAY 32 AT ICT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND PASSENGERS AND THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. LANDING GEAR MALFUNCTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
