## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT LANDED ON A CLOSED RUNWAY AND SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED THE AIRCRAFT WHEN THE AIRCRAFT HIT A SNOW/ICE BANK ON LANDING ROLLOUT. PILOT FAILED TO CHECK NOTAMS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, THEREFORE WAS UNAWARE OF THE CLOSED RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT FIREWALL STRUCTURE WAS DAMAGED EXTENSIVELY AND THE NOSE GEAR WAS RIPPED OUT OF THE AIRCRAFT BY IMPACT WITH THE SNOW/ICE BANK.
