## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THIS DAY MR. PETER STYCZEK, A PRIVATE PILOT, CONTACTED THE WILLIAMSPORT FSS FOR A WEATHER BRIEFING. HIS PLAN WAS A VFR FLIGHT CROSS COUNTRY FROM THE ORANGE COUNTRY AIRPORT (MGJ) TO THE GREENWOOD LAKE AIRPORT (4N1). WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 6 A CROSS WIND CONDITION EXISTED. UPON TOUCH DOWN EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT, VEERED OFF THE RUNWAY HITTING A SNOW BANK AND THAT CAUSED THE NOSE LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE AND DAMAGED THE PROPELLER BLADE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
