## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER LANDING AT SFO, FLIGHT 251 WAS CLEARED TO TAXIWAY A AND TO HOLD AT G DUE TO AN AMERICA WEST PUSHBACK. AFTER THE PUSHBACK, FLT 251 PROCEEDED TO TAXIWAY G WITHOUT CLEARANCE AND CONTRARY TO THE LAST INSTRUCTION FROM ATC. FLT 251 TURNED RIGHT AND STARTED TO CROSS THE SERVICE ROAD USED FOR GROUND VEHICLES OPERATING ON THE AIRPORT OPS AREA. FLT 251 STRUCK A MOVING FUEL TRUCK IN THE TANK AREA WITH THE RIGHT ENGINE NOSE COWL. THE FUEL TRUCK WAS ON THE SERVICE ROAD TRAVELLING IN THE SAME DIRECTION ON TAXIWAY A AS FLT 251. THE RIGHT ENGINE NOSE COWL WAS DAMAGED AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
