## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) GROUND SUPPORT PERSONNEL INADVERTENTLY SERVICED THE FUELING TANK ON THE TRUCK WITH JET FUEL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FUELED FROM THE TANK AND BEGAN TO LOSE POWER DURING CRUISE. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO DUMP MOST OF HIS CHEMICAL LOAD BEFORE THE ENGINE SEIZED. HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND IN A PLOWED FIELD BUT AFTER THE AIRCRAFT HAD SLOWED, THE WHEELS HIT SOFT DIRT AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. THE PILOT WAS NOT HURT, BUT THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Probable cause: the failure of ground personnel to refuel the airplane with the proper fuel grade/octane, resulting in the airplane's loss of engine power. Also causal was the pilot's failure to detect the fuel…
