## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS FLYING THE GPS APPROACH INTO LINCOLNTON REGIONAL AIRPORT (IPJ) AND HAD COMPLETED THE CHECKLIST UP TO PUTTING THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. HE WAS USING THE CHECKLIST PROGRAMMED INTO THE GPS DISPLAY AND SWITCHED BACK TO THE APPROACH MODE SO HE COULD FLY THE APPROACH. HE DID NOT SWITCH BACK TO THE CHECKLIST MODE TO COMPLETE THE REMAINDER OF THE LANDING CHECKLIST. HE FORGOT TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED. HE STATED THAT HE DID NOT REMEMBER HEARING THE LANDING GEAR HORN WHEN HE WENT TO FULL FLAPS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
