## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT RAN OFF END OF RUNWAY 26R AT PUB DURING ROLLOUT AFTER LANDING WITH NO FLAPS DURING FLIGHT TRAINING FOR THE FIRST OFFICER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 121 APPROVED TRAINING. FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THE INCIDENT INCLUDED: 1)THE HIGHER-THAN-NORMAL TOUCHDOWN SPEED BECAUSE OF THE NO-FLAP CONFIGURATION; 2)SUNLIGHT DIRECTLY IN THE EYES OF THE FLIGHT CREW DURING APPROACH, LANDING, AND ROLLOUT; 3)A SHORT DELAY BETWEEN THE TIME THE PIC ATTEMPTED TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE TIME THE FIRST OFFICER RELINQUISHED CONTROL BEFORE ROLLING OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE SUN CAUSED A DISTRACTION OF THE CREW AND REDUCTION OF DEPTH PERCEPTION NEEDED TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF RUNWAY REMAINING RELATIVE TO THE SPEED OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
