## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. MARK LORENZ WAS PRACTICING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS AND RUNWAY 13 AT THE EASTERN IOWA AIRPORT, CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA. HE ASKED FOR HIS LAST LANDING TO BE ON RUNWAY 27. CID ATCT INSTRUCTED HIM TO MAKE A SHORT APPROACH AND CLEARED HIM TO LAND ON RUNWAY 27. THE PILOT RAISED THE LANDING GEAR AS HE NORMALLY DID TAKING OFF FROM RUNWAY 13, BUT FAILED TO LOWER IT WHILE MAKING A SHORT APPROACH FOR RUNWAY 27. THE PILOT WAS ALONE AND NOT INJURED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMI^ GEAR UP LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
