## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT FOLLOWING LANDING WITH A QUARTERING TAIL WIND OF APPROXIMATELY 5 TO 10 KNOTS THE PLANE WAS HIT BY A SMALL QUARTERING GUST FROM THE LEFT REAR CAUSING THE PLANE TO ROCK UP TO THE RIGHT FRONT RESULTING IN A PROP STRIKE. PILOT STATED THAT AFTER RECEIVING THE WINDS PRIOR TO LANDING HE PLANNED ON LANDING INTO THE WIND BUT OTHER AIRCRAFT WERE ALREADY ESTABLISHED IN THE PATTERN LANDING DOWN WIND SO HE ELECTED TO DO THE SAME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
