## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE CONDUCTING A SIMULATED IN-FLIGHT EMERGENCY SCENARIO NEAR THE VINCENNES-O'NEAL AIRPORT, THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR AND THE COMMERCIAL STUDENT PILOT UTILIZED THE AIRPORT AS THE DESIRED LOCATION TO CONDUCT A LANDING. IN PERFORMING THE MANEUVER, BOTH PILOTS NEGLECTED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN ON THE GRASS RUNWAY. THE TWO AIRMEN SUSTAINED NO INJURIES AS A RESULT OF THIS EVENT AND THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. THE INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
