## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MARCH 27, 2004, AT APPROXIMATELY 1417 LOCAL, N81MF WAS ON APPROACH TO KPOC RWY-26L. WHILE ON APPROACH, THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT ENGINE TORQUE METER WAS READING ZERO. THE AIRCRAFT DEVELOPED A HIGH RATE OF DESCENT AND LANDED HARD BREAKING THE NOSEWHEEL STRUT. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO SKID ANOTHER 2000 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY TO A STOP. THE PILOT DID NOT ATTEMPT TO GO AROUND.
