## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 03/30/04, HORIZON AIR FLIGHT 2483, DEPARTED BILLINGS, MT (BIL) ENROUTE TO PORTLAND, OR (PDX), LOST THE RECAP TREAD ON #4 TIRE. FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO BILLINGS AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT APPROXIMATELY 2110Z. AIRCRAFT TAXIED BACK TO GATE AND PASSENGERS WERE DEPLANED VIA THE JETWAY. INVESTIGATION REVEALED RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DOOR PARTIALLY MISSING, DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT FLAP CANOE, AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT FLAP. BOTH #3 AND #4 WHEEL/TIRE ASSEMBLY WERE REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED AND WAS FERRIED TO PORTLAND, OR (PDX) FOR FINAL REPAIRS. AIR OPERATOR HAS SUBMITTED A SERVICE DIFFICULTY REPORT (SDR) ON THE MATTER. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
