(-23) ON APRIL 2, 2004 AT 1430, MR. DAMSCHRODER WAS PILOTING N93948, A CESSNA 210, FROM FREMONT, OHIO TO BLUFFTON, OHIO. THE PURPOSE OF THE FLIGHT WAS TO HAVE THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN SYSTEM ADJUSTED AT THE BLUFFTON AIRPORT (5G7). THERE WAS ONE PASSENGER AND HE HOLDS A PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE. DURING THE DESCENT TO (5G7), THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN SOUNDED. THE PASSENGER STATED HE ASKED THE PIC IF THE GEAR SHOULD BE LOWERED, AND THE PIC REPLIED THAT HE WOULD WAIT UNTIL THEY WERE ON FINAL APPROACH TO LOWER THE GEAR. WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH, THE PIC STATED THAT HE BECAME DISTRACTED DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE WAS GIVING INSTRUCTION FROM THE RIGHT SEAT, WHILE ENCOUNTERING STRONG CROSSWINDS. THE DISTRACTION CAUSED THE PIC TO NEGLECT LOWERING THE LANDING GEAR PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN EVEN THOUGH THE GEAR WARNING HORN WAS SOUNDING. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED RUNWAY 5, IN A GEAR-UP CONDITION. THERE WAS NO POST FIRE OR INJURIES.
