## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS ENROUTE FROM WARRENSBURG, MISSOURI (9K4), TO LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI (KLXT). THE AIRCRAFT WAS AN EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT OWNED BY THE PILOT AND WAS STILL IN THE FLIGHT TESTING PHASE. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE WAS INDICATING EXCESSIVELY HIGH AND THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE WAS INDICATING ZERO PSI. THE PILOT REDUCED THE POWER TO IDLE WHICH RESULTED IN THE ENGINE STOPPING. AN EMERGENCY LANDING WAS MADE AT LAMB'S FIELD, A PRIVATE AIRPORT IN LONE JACK, MISSOURI. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DA^ IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT. ENGINE FAILURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
