## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MARSHALLER DIRECTED AIRCRAFT FROM REMOTE PARKING SPOT WITHOUT PROPERLY CLEARING AREA. AIRCRAFT PROCEEDED ALONG CENTER TAXIWAY STRIPE AND LEFT WING TIP CONTACTED THE BOARDING STAIRS. DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING LOCALIZED TO JUST THE WING TIP, WITH NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE WING. BOARDING STAIRS WERE IMPROPERLY LOCATED BY THE MARSHALLER AND WERE EXTENDING OUT OF THE DEFINED PARKING LOCATION DESIGNATED FOR THE BOARDING STAIRS. THE AREA OF CONTACT IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE CAPTAIN. NO WING WALKERS WERE USED AND NONE ARE REQUIRED BY THE C2XA GROUND HANDLING MANUAL. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO EVACUATION OF PASSENGERS. THIS INCIDENT HAS BEEN REFERRED TO THE ASAP COORDINATOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
