## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) COMMERCIAL PILOT DAWN WHALEY (CFI) AND STUDENT PILOT GREGORY CHAMPAGNE PLANNED A TRAINING FLIGHT FROM ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST (IL0) VIA COLUMBIA, MS (0R0), BOGALUSA, LA (BXA) AND BACK TO ST. JOHN'S. A FULL STOP LANDING WAS MADE IN 0R0, TO REFUEL AND THEN THE FLIGHT CONTINUED TO BXA FOR TOUCH AND GOES. ON THE FIRST TOUCH AND GO AT BXA, AT AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 150 AGL THE ENGINE LOST POWER AND THE SUBSEQUENT LANDING WAS STRAIGHT AHEAD OFF THE AIRPORT. THE CFI SAID THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING BUT AT LOW RPM. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE, WINGS, NOSE GEAR, PROPELLER, BUT NO INJURIES TO EITHER PILOT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
