THERE WAS AIRCRAFT DEBRIS UNDER THE UTILITY POWER LINES APPROXIMATELY 150 YARDS FROM GROUND IMPACT. EVIDENCE OF PAINT MARKING WAS FOUND ON THE ELECTRICAL POWER CABLES. THE LOCAL UTILITY COMPANY EXPERIENCED A POWER INTERRUPTION ON THE DATE OF THE ACCIDENT. THE FINDINGS SUGGEST AN APPROXIMATE TIME OF THE CRASH TO HAVE OCCURRED AT 11:22 AM ON APRIL 13, 2004. NO FIRE WAS REPORTED. THE PILOT'S INFORMATION IN BLOCK 31, (HOURS & MAKE AND MODEL AND HOURS LAST 90 DAYS) WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW04LA108](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW04LA108), Apr 13, 2004: Air Tractor AT-402B (N852JH), Goliad, TX, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance with power lines while maneuvering during an aerial application flight.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
