## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED DATE MR. MURDOCK THE OWNER/OPERATOR OF N195AF ACCOMPLISHED SIX TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 27 AT THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. MR. MURDOCK REQUESTED A FULLSTOP LANDING. ON LANDING OPERATIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOST. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE RIGHT LEAVING THE RUNWAY AND STRUCK A DITCH. MR. MURDOCK WAS NOT INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. PER TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS WITH MR. MURDOCK HE HAD ADMITTED THAT THIS ACCIDENT OCCURRED DUE TO PILOT ERROR. MR. MURDOCK ALSO STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT PERFORMED NORMAL ON THE SIX PREVIOUS TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS AND THE AIRCRAFT TRACKED STRAIGHT. I WAS ALSO ADVISED BY MR. MURDOCK THAT THIS WAS HIS FIRST SOLO FLIGHT ON THIS AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX04LA199](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX04LA199), May 1, 2004: Cessna 195 (N195AF), Riverside, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's failure to maintain directional control, resulting in a veer off the runway and collision with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
