## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MAY 2, 2004 AT 1610 CDT, A CESSNA 150J, N60539, WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED DURING A FORCED LANDING FOLLOWING A REPORTED LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. DURING INITIAL TAKEOFF CLIMB FROM LAKEVIEW AIRPORT (30F), NEAR LAKE DALLAS, TEXAS, THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RETURN TO THE AIRPORT BUT COULD NOT MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT STALLED, ROLLED INVERTED AND IMPACTED TREES, BEFORE COMING TO REST IN A VERTICAL POSITION. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED, AND THE WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
