As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MAY 14, 2004, AT APPROXIMATELY 1130 LOCAL TIME, AT RED LAKE, ARIZONA (A DRY LAKE BED), THIS PILOT WAS GIVING DUAL INSTRUCTION WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE DURING ROLL OUT ON LANDING. THE CE-180-D AIRPLANE FLIPPED OVER UPSIDE DOWN AND SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE WINGS. THERE WAS NO INJURIES OR POST ACCIDENT FIRE. THE AIRPLANE WAS EQUIPPED WITH OVERSIZED MAIN TIRES DESIGNED FOR LANDING ON UNIMPROVED FIELDS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

Probable cause: the pilot under instruction's excessive and improper use of the rudder control during the landing roll and the flight instructor's inadequate supervision, which resulted in an inadvertent ground loop…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
