## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT REPORTED IN THE AIRCRAFT LOGBOOK ON LOGPAGE #2407649, JUST AFTER LIFT OFF APU FIRE LIGHT CAME ON. THE PILOT FOLLOWED THE (QRH) QUICK RUN UP HANDBOOK CHECK LIST. THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO IND. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL OPENED THE APU COWLING AND INSPECTED THE AREA AND NO DISCREPANCIES WERE FOUND. THE APU FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM AND THE APU WAS DEFERRED PER MEL 26-8. LINE MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AT MDW REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FORWARD LEFT WIRE HARNESS FOR APU FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM PER MM 26-20. THE SYSTEM OPERATIONAL CHECKED GOOD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. NO FURTHER INVESTIGATION REQUIRED BY THIS ASI.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
