## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. TOBIN STATED THAT ON 28 MAY 2004, HE DEPARTED THE HOT SPRINGS AIRPORT (HOT) AT 6:15 PM FLYING WEST TO LAKE HAMILTON TO LOCATE AN EMPTY AREA WHERE HE INTENDED TO LAND. HE FOUND AN AREA WITH NO BOATS OR PEOPLE IN SIGHT AND SET UP TO LAND. MR. TOBIN ALSO STATED ALL WENT ACCORDING TO PLAN UNTIL POWER WAS REDUCED AND THE FLOATS STARTED TO COME DOWN OFF "STEP" AND THE NOSE GEAR CONTACTED THE SURFACE OF THE WATER AND DUG IN, FLIPPING THE PLANE OVER FORWARD. THE PLANE STOPPED AND FLOATED INVERTED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMIT^Y

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
