## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS MAKING THE APPROACH TO RUNWAY 20 AT AIY (ATLANTIC CITY MUNI/BADER FIELD) FOR LANDING. AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN A FLARE TO LAND THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED BACK INTO THEIR WELLS. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ON THE RUNWAY. THE PROP HIT THE RUNWAY AND THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT STATED DURING INTERVIEW THAT HE DID NOT SECURE THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE IN THE DOWN POSITION. AS HE WAS LANDING THE HANDLE MOVED FROM THE DOWN POSITION TO THE UP POSITION CAUSING THE GEAR TO RETRACT AND HE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO ABORT THE LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
