## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) FROM WITNESS STATEMENTS OBTAINED BY FT. MCDOWELL TRIBAL POLICE IT APPEARS AS THE PILOT WAS DOING AEROBATIC MANEUVERS AND AFTER A BARRELL ROLL THE AIRCRAFT DID A STALL/SPIN AND CRASHED ON THE MOUNTAIN SIDE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX04FA223](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX04FA223), May 31, 2004: Boeing B75N1 (N48579), Mesa, AZ, destroyed, 2 fatal. Probable cause: the pilot's failure to maintain an adequate airspeed while performing aerobatics that resulted in an inadvertent stall and spin.

## Other reports on N48579 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19771022034379A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19771022034379A), Oct 22, 1977: Boeing B75N1 (N48579), Shreveport, LA, Substantial damage

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
