## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PILOT PICKED UP HIS AIRCRAFT FROM MAINTENANCE HANGER AFTER ANNUAL MAINTENANCE HAD BEEN PERFORMED. PILOT WAS TAXIING TO HIS TIEDOWN. AS THE PILOT MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN TO JOIN A TAXIWAY HE STRUCK A HELICOPTER DOLLY. THE HELICOPTER DOLLY IS A WOODEN PLATFORM ON WHEELS, APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET BY TEN FEET ACROSS AND ABOUT 15 INCHES HIGH. THE RIGHT AND LEFT MAIN GEAR CONTACTED THE DOLLY, AND THE AIRCRAFT PITCHED FORWARD. THE WOODEN PROPELLER STRUCK THE DOLLY SURFACE AND SHATTERED. WHEN THE TAIL SETTLED BACK ONTO THE RAMP THE TAILWHEEL SEPARATED. PILOT SHUTDOWN ENGINE AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT WAS UNHURT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
