## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N5180, CESSNA 180E, RECEIVED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE DURING AN ABORTED TAKE-OFF. THE PILOT SAID THE WINDS WERE VERY GUSTY AND AS THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO TURN IN LEFT, HE PULLED THE POWER OFF. THE AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED AND NOSED OVER. (-23 ADDITIONAL NARRATIVE) MR. ROBERT EVERTS WAS PILOT IN COMMAND OF A CE-180, N5180, ON 06/03/2004. HE ATTEMPTED A TAKEOFF AT THE KENAI AIRPORT, ON RUNWAY 19R. WIND WAS APPROXIMATELY 110 DEGREES AT 11 GUSTING TO 19. AT APPROXIMATELY 300' INTO THE TAKEOFF ROLL A HIGH GUST OF WIND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO WEATHERVANE INTO THE WIND. FULL CONTROL INPUTS WERE INSUFFICIENT TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT STRAIGHT, INCLUDING THE APPLICATION OF FULL RIGHT BRAKE. MR. EVERTS TRIED TO ABORT THE TAKEOFF BUT THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO GROUND LOOP AND WENT OVER ON ITS BACK CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
