## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 19, 2004 US AIRWAYS N614AU FLT. 625 A B-757 ADVISED A.T.C. OF AN ELECTRICAL SMELL IN THE CABIN AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE CONCLUDED THAT THE FASTEN SEAT BELT/NO SMOKING ANNUNCIATOR AT ROW 32DEF WAS THE CAUSE OF THE ELECTRICAL ODOR. THE UNIT WAS DEACTIVATED, MEL 33-2401A, CONTROL NUMBER 1943C29 WAS APPLIED. OPSTO SYSTEM WERE OK. REFERENCE LOST PAGE 59638932 FOR REPLACEMENT OF SIGN ASSY. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
