## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) TWO COMMERCIAL PILOTS, BOTH WITH FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR RATINGS, WERE ON A PERSONAL FLIGHT AND LANDING RW 17L AT COS. THE FLYING PILOT, MR. COX, HAD LANDED AND WAS ON THE ROLL OUT WITH THE INTENTION OF MAKING ANOTHER TAKEOFF. THE NON-FLYING PILOT, MR. REYNOLDS, ANNOUNCED THAT HE HAD RETRACTED THE FLAPS. MR. COX, WHO WAS FLYING FROM THE RIGHT SEAT, ANNOUNCED "GEAR UP" AND REACHED ACROSS TO THE GEAR SELECTOR AND POSITIONED THE SWITCH IN THE UP POSITION. HE REALIZED HIS MISTAKE AND KEPT THE POWER AT IDLE, HOPEFUL THAT THE AIRCRAFT WEIGHT WOULD KEEP THE GEAR FROM RETRACTING. THE LEFT MAIN RETRACTED FIRST THEN THE NOSE GEAR. THE RIGHT MAIN DID NOT RETRACT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH PROPS, GEAR DOORS AND UNDERCARRIAGE SKIN. WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE VMC AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
