## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

- [NTSB CHI04CA164](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI04CA164), Jun 20, 2004: Cessna 401 (N3234Q), Mt. Vernon, IL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's misjudgment of the landing flare. Contributing factors were the pilot's failure to execute a stabilized approach for landing. An additional factor was the presence of the runway lights.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
