## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) JUST AFTER TAKE-OFF (APPROXIMATELY .5 MILES FROM STRIP) @ 75 FEET ALTITUDE, AIRCRAFT STARTED TO SETTLE. THE AIRCRAFT INITIALLY TOUCHED DOWN IN A SATURATED RICE FIELD AND TRAVELED APPROXIMATELY 40' AND IMPACTED A BANK IN BETWEEN ANOTHER RICE FIELD, THE AIRCRAFTS NOSE IMPACTED THE BANK WHICH RESULTED IN THE PROPELLER AND FRONT SECTION OF ENGINE GEAR BOX TO SEPARATE. THE AIRCRAFT THEN WAS AIRBORNE FOR 40', TOUCHED DOWN AGAIN ON ITS NOSE AND FLIPPED OVER ON ITS TOP. THE WINGS AND FUSELAGE WERE STILL INTACT WITH SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO NOSE SECTION AND VERTICAL STABILIZER. NO FUEL WAS VISIBLE IN FUEL TANKS, NO FUEL ODOR WAS PRESENT. ALL ENGINE AND FLIGHT CONTROLS HAD CONTINUITY, FIREWALL FUEL FILTER HAD VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF FUEL CONTAINED IN IT.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
