## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THE TWIN FALLS AREA WAS INVOLVED IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. THE PILOT CONTACTED THE TOWER AND WAS PERFORMING A FLY-BY TO GET A FEEL FOR THE CROSSWIND AND ITS SEVERITY. HIS APPROACH WAS ALMOST PERPENDICULAR TO RUNWAY 12 FROM THE NORTH HEADED SOUTH. WHILE ON THIS APPROACH TURBULENCE CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO SETTLE AND IT FLEW THROUGH SMALL ELECTRICAL POWER WIRES THAT SUPPLIED POWER TO ONE OF THE HANGERS AT THE FAR NORTHWEST END OF THE RAMP. THE PILOT ADDED POWER AND SUSTAINED FLIGHT. NO DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT REMAINED ALOFT FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES AND THEN LANDED AFTER THE WINDS SUBSIDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
