## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

- [NTSB DEN04CA100](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DEN04CA100), Jul 5, 2004: Aeronca 7AC (N1480E), Limon, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's inadequate preflight planning/preparation. A contributing factor was the soft terrain in the takeoff area.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
