## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS ON IFR FLIGHT PLAN FROM TOPEKA, KS (FOE) TO KANSAS CITY, MO (MKC). ON TAKE OFF ROLL THE LEFT TIRE AND OUTBOARD SECTION OF THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT WAS ABLE TO STOP AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY PRIOR TO GETTING AIRBORNE. THE LEFT OUTBOARD MAIN GEAR DOOR ALSO DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT AND PUNCTURED THE LOWER WING SKIN ALLOWING APPROXIMATELY 100 GALLONS OF AV GAS TO SPILL OUT ON RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE AT THE SCENE. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON BOARD. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
