## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 19, 2004, AT APPROXIMATELY 0900 LOCAL, MR. MICHAEL STILL WAS PILOT-IN-COMMAND OF N28648, A FAIRCHILD 24W-40, AND PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS AT CASA GRANDE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (CGZ) FOR CURRENCY. ON THE SECOND APPROACH AND LANDING, UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED. MR. STILL LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE LEFT WING DIPPED DOWN AND TOUCHED THE RUNWAY. THE AIRPLANE GROUND LOOPED TO THE LEFT AND CAME TO REST 180 DEGREES FROM THE LANDING RUNWAY. THE TAIL WHEEL SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT DUE TO SIDE LOADING DURING THE LANDING SEQUENCE. DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE LEFT WINGTIP AND TAILWHEEL ASSEMBLY. MR. STILL WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
