## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AS PILOT WAS DEPARTING RUNWAY 17 IN KOTZEBUE, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TURNING TO THE LEFT. PILOT APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, WITHOUT SUCCESS. PILOT THEN INCREASED RIGHT RUDDER PRESSURE AND ATTEMPTED TO ABORT TAKEOFF. RIGHT BRAKE LOCKED UP. PILOT LATER DETERMINED THAT HE HAD BEEN PUSHING ON THE BRAKE WITH THE CORNER OF HIS SHOE AND WAS UNSURE IF HE EVER APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE RUDDER AT ALL. AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY NOSED OVER AND SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE . A POST ACCIDENT INSPECTION OF THE BRAKES AND RUDDER REVEALED NO SIGNS OF DEFECT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^
